Original perfumes at HOF — what you need to know

Dear customers,

In the sea of online perfume stores, it's completely normal to get confused. Glossy photos, beautiful descriptions, and "super" low prices - it's easy to mislead someone, especially when the difference between the original and the replica is not apparent at first glance.

From our experience, we know one thing - over 90% of our customers ask us the question: "Are the perfumes original?"
That's why we decided to briefly show you how to distinguish quality products from imitations and what to expect from HOF.

How to recognize a replica perfume?

  1. Same prices for all brands
If in a given store Chanel, Bvlgari, Nina Ricci and others are at exactly the same price – that is a red flag. In real perfumery, prices vary depending on the brand, collection and concentration.

  2. Only 100 ml packages
Stores that sell imitations almost never offer different sizes (30/50/90 ml). They only have "universal 100 ml".

  3. No gift sets and body products
The original lines include lotions, shower gels, and sets – the replicas do not.

  4. The scent "falls" in minutes
Imitations only smell similar for the first 10–30 minutes. After that, the scent changes abruptly and disappears.

  5. Risk of allergies
Cheap raw materials in replicas often lead to skin irritations and respiratory reactions.

  6. The quality of the vial
Poor-quality glass, plastic pumps, poor encapsulation, and often leaking vials – this is typical of imitations.

What do you get in the HOF?

At HOF we offer only 100% original perfumes produced by official brands.
Each fragrance consists of an alcoholic solution and a perfume extract (PE) – the key element that determines intensity, durability and price.

Types of concentrations and what they mean

Pure perfume (Le Parfum / Parfum)

  • 20–40% PE

  • The most saturated and long-lasting

  • 12–18 hours of durability

  • It comes in small packs and is the highest class of fragrance.

Perfume water (Eau de Parfum / EDP)

  • 10–30% PE

  • 8–12 hours of durability (depending on season and skin)

  • The most preferred option

Toilet water (Eau de Toilette / EDT)

  • 5–20% PE

  • 3–6 hours of durability

  • Lighter, fresher formula – great for daytime wear

Cologne (Eau de Cologne / EDC)

  • 2–3% PE

  • Fresh, light scent, ideal for warm seasons

  • Can be combined with shower gel and lotion for a longer effect

Body Mist / Perfumed Water

  • About 1% PE

  • Gentle, hydrating, suitable for frequent application during the day

What is the difference between a tester and a standard product?

The testers are 100% original products , created by the manufacturer for testing in retail outlets. The only difference is in appearance:

  • They come in shipping boxes, without cellophane.

  • Sometimes they are without a cap

  • The aroma, durability and composition are absolutely identical to the original product

  • Due to the lower price, they are preferred by many customers.
