At the heart, patchouli, pine accords, davana, cashmeran, amber and cypriol unfold, adding green freshness, woody density and a subtle resinous depth. The finish leaves a long-lasting, noble trail of sandalwood, palo santo, cedar, vetiver, myrrh, benzoin, labdanum, oakmoss and musk, which give the fragrance calm, elegance and a memorable presence.The story of the fragranceAmouage Reasons was introduced in 2024 as part of the innovative The Essences collection. It was created by the world-renowned perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, known for his ability to craft multi-layered, artistic compositions. Inspired by the idea of cause and effect, the fragrance symbolises the way past experiences shape our present. Each composition in the collection undergoes a unique six-month process of double infusion with sandalwood and maturation in oak barrels – a rare technique that gives the fragrance exceptional softness, complexity and longevity.
